Carol Feldman LCSW CAS, Founder of Shine and Inspire, had always wanted to start a nonprofit. She loved television shows like “Home Makeover” and “Secret Millionaire” and was fascinated by the idea of making a difference in people’s lives who need help.
“I believe in the idea of Paying It Forward. I wanted the nonprofit to not just be about us giving, but empowering those we give to, by encouraging them to do something for someone else. It can be for others, their community, or their school – we want them to be creative.
“We don’t want to just give money out,” Feldman said.
With this in mind, she established a nonprofit in 2012 called Shine and Inspire. Shine and Inspire is best known for helping children and their families in the Mercer County area with our Shine and Inspire Closets and annual children’s events (click here to read more about what we do “About – Shine and Inspire“)
