Carol Feldman always believed that one of the best things people can do is help someone else. With that in mind, she established a nonprofit in 2012 called Shine and Inspire, which puts the emphasis on paying the help forward.
“We don’t want to just give money out,” Feldman said.
Shine and Inspire is based on improving the lives of Mercer County residents by offering a variety of assistance… The catch: when residents are applying for the service they need, they also must write how they will give back to the community if their wish is granted.
Today, Shine and Inspire has expanded this help to include Shine and Inspire Closets and annual children’s events. And for every person that Shine and Inspire touches, the importance of paying it forward is always shared.
